Apricots have been a garden favorite for centuries. Back in the day, people would simply tuck their harvest away in cool root cellars. These spots had the perfect balance of temperature and humidity to keep the fruit fresh. Unfortunately, most modern basements are way too warm and dry for that now.

If you don’t have a traditional cellar, your best bet is the bottom drawer of your refrigerator. When kept between 35°F and 41°F (2 to 5 degrees Celsius), your apricots will stay fresh for about three to four days.
