Because you can keep them pruned to any size, they’re perfect for even the smallest balconies where space is at a premium.

Got a shady corner? Fuchsias are the answer! These beauties actually prefer partial shade or indirect light, and they’ll reward you with stunning, bell-shaped flowers in vibrant reds and purples. Some varieties even have multi-colored blooms. Just a heads-up: most Fuchsias are pretty sensitive to the cold, so make sure you know how to overwinter them properly before the first frost hits.

If you want a real “wow” factor, you can’t go wrong with Angel’s Trumpet. These plants produce massive, trumpet-shaped flowers in gorgeous shades of yellow, orange, and red.
