Thanks to those cheerful, daisy-like blooms, many gardeners call the Leopard’s Bane the “Yellow Daisy.” Since it pops up much earlier than your typical field daisies, you’ll also hear it referred to as the “Spring Daisy.”
Expect blooms starting in April
Exactly when these beauties start showing off depends on their environment. If they’re soaking up enough sunshine and the soil has a good amount of lime, you can expect the show to start as early as April. Typically, the main flowering season runs through May.
How to keep the blooms coming
Want to enjoy those yellow flowers a little longer? It’s actually pretty easy! All you have to do is stay on top of deadheading. If you snip off the faded flowers right away, the plant will keep pushing out fresh new blooms.
Here’s a quick recap on the Leopard’s Bane flowering season:
- It’s a springtime favorite.
- In the right spot, it kicks off in April.
- You can extend the season just by removing wilted flowers.
